New Hampshire Bar Association endorses ALPS Insurance

We are thrilled to announce that as of December 1st, 2023, The New Hampshire Bar Association (NHBA) has named ALPS Insurance as an endorsed provider of legal malpractice insurance for its members. This powerful partnership between ALPS and the NHBA aims to provide support to New Hampshire attorneys as they navigate evolving challenges in an ever-changing legal landscape.

New call-to-action

When asked why the NHBA chose ALPS as their partner, Executive Director George Moore pointed to the company’s “...proactive risk management practices, excellent policy coverage, and deep understanding of, and commitment to, lawyers and the legal profession,” as factors that made the decision an easy one.

"Acting in the best interests of our members, and supporting them on their journey as legal professionals, is the mission of the New Hampshire Bar, and it was clear from the start that ALPS is dedicated to that mission and can be trusted to serve our members to that end,” George continued.

For ALPS this partnership is an exciting milestone as we seek to expand our close working relationships with state, regional and affinity bars across the country. When asked why we sought to partner with New Hampshire specifically, Chris Newbold, COO of ALPS had this to say, "We have great respect for New Hampshire lawyers.  We know them to be excellent practitioners, respectful of one another and collegial, all marks of a great jurisdiction to do business.  Given our expertise in working with small firms and solo practitioners, as well as being the endorsed malpractice carrier in neighboring states Vermont and Maine, New Hampshire is a natural ALPS fit."

ALPS has already begun collaborating with bar leadership on developments in the law firm insurance market, providing access to innovative risk management tools, resources, and allocating financial and in-kind support for high-priority bar programs of mutual benefit to ALPS and the Bar.

In addition to providing comprehensive insurance coverage to New Hampshire lawyers, ALPS will also assist firms in effectively managing law practice risks, with particular attention to small firms and solo practitioners.  ALPS’ risk management department actively develops educational resources to protect and guide lawyers toward a more successful and risk-free practice. Additionally, New Hampshire attorneys will have direct access to all facets of ALPS insurance operations, account management, underwriting, claims attorneys, and one-on-one support from ALPS’ knowledgeable Risk Manager and attorney, Mark Bassingthwaighte.

“We anticipate this partnership with ALPS to be a game-changer for our members. They provide a service that is essential to those in private practice and one that can save our members time and money while at the same time providing peace of mind so they can focus on the practice of law,” concluded Moore.
