Trojan
Any malware which misleads users of its true intent. Trojans are often spread by some form of social engineering, for example where a user is duped into opening an e-mail attachment disguised to appear as legitimate or tricked into clicking on some fake advertisement on social media or elsewhere. Hackers often use Trojans to gain unauthorized access to any affected computer, which gives them the means to carry out any number of possible destructive or undesired activities.
