How do I report a claim?

As a required condition to a carrier's obligation to defend a covered claim, an insured attorney must immediately report any claim to their carrier during the policy period.

To file a claim, please click on the situation that best describes your request.

  1. I am a current ALPS Property & Casualty Insurance Co. policyholder.
  2. I have a business insurance policy (BOP, Commercial Liability, Higher Limits of Cyber, Commercial Auto, etc).
  3. I have a lawyers' professional liability insurance policy through ALPS Insurance Agency that is not with ALPS Property & Casualty Insurance Co.

To confirm if your policy is with ALPS Property & Casualty Insurance Co. or another carrier, please look at your declarations page or policy documents.

Current ALPS Property & Casualty Insurance Co. policyholder

If your policy number begins with ALPS, ALFF, CYBR or EPL please log into your ALPS Account Center and fill out the Report a Claim form*:

  1. Log into your ALPS Account Center.

  2. Click "Report a Claim."Account Center Report a Claim
  3. Select the specific policy you would like to report a claim for potential coverage.Account Center Report a Claim Screen
  4. Fill out the details on the claim form. You will have the ability to attach files in support of your claim, as well as any additional notes prior to submitting the form.Account Center Report a Claim Form 1

*Notice of a claim may also be sent in hard copy and delivered to ALPS by regular mail at:

Business insurance policyholders (BOP, Commercial Liability, Higher Limits of Cyber, Commercial Auto, etc)

To report a claim underneath any business insurance policy other than lawyers' professional liability insurance, you must submit your claim information directly to the carrier. Lawyers' professional liability insurance policyholders placed through ALPS Insurance Agency, not insured through ALPS Property & Casualty Insurance Co.

To report a claim underneath your lawyers' professional liability insurance policy, you must submit your claim information directly to the carrier. please see your policy documents for reporting requirements. If you have any questions, please contact your account manager. You can find your Account Manager's information on our People page, as well as in the welcome documentation you received when the policy was issued.
